After how many years I'm not sure that the council were really in a position to refuse the application in the first place, what do others think?
Weekly News Report.

This is a an attempt at giving an honest opinion of how I see certain things of interest in the Conwy County area of North Wales, Current affairs in general, and an assortment of general thoughts, also to take an odd pop at those in public life who get a bit too complacent to the needs of the area and local people. There are a lot of people out there who feel the same way, and have neither the place or time to air their views. The silent majority. Remember, the people are the masters!

The people of Conwy really should keep they noses out on council business.
Just who do they think they are ?
Just BUT OUT
Gets my goat when ignoramuses can't spell BUTT.
That would be Ronnie the Hair then, about his level.
Yo Billy Goat Gruff, it gets my goat when ignoramusses miss an 's' out of ignoramusses.

Pentraeth and Slaters lose their dealerships and a firm from away gets to cream off the profit.
I know Ken Jones puts a lot back into Ynys Mon, dont know about Slaters.North Wales will be poorer as a whole if development goes ahead.Customers from Cheshire/wrexham area wont travel to buy from Junction and VW control the supply of vehicles to dealers, Quota/undersupply of vehicles ensures that dealers wont discount their cars.
We need wealth creators and not wealth distributors in Britain.
Have a look at annual trade deficit and you'll see that Britain is heamorrhaging wealth.

Fair comment ..but with the whole Wales in aa political Flux and Conwy council's ever increasing greed greed. How the heck are we going to create,or even attract wealth makers
Conwy has earned a reputation of living off the backs of the rest of the UK and the begging bowl of the EU object one Grants .
I don't know about the UK but Conwy has certainly bled it's wealth
Anon 5/1/13 12;56.Read How the West was lost by Dambisa Moyo and you'll see why the U.K and U.S are in deep shit.
It will be approved on wednesday..
Immaturity of Conwy Councillors on Planning. If someone shouts loud enough the others will follow.
This has to be approved, else will be lost on appeal and cost taxpayer more. also would further delay this development which has been in the pipeline for a over a year.
Trouble comes when the councillors don't follow professional advice.
They are supposed to be trained to deal with planning matters but sometime you do wonder.
@anon 7an 19:14. Depends on the quality of advice from officers. They dont hold a monopoly on wisdom.
It's not going to create alot of jobs, is it for the size of the site?
And if staff are transfered what help will that be for local's
And it came to pass that on the ninth of January 2012 the plans were approved, just as if by magic or divine intervention.
Tosh
More lies told by developers. There will be a handful of new jobs not the 150 promoted, as most will be transferred from closed sites in Abergele and Pentraeth. How many palms have been greased and s106 monies extracted for 'local activities' ie supporting Councillors pet projects.
