There was a time not so long ago that I would like nothing better than to sit down with a newspaper and read it cover to cover.
Sunday was a day of rest and before Sunday lunch I would either have a gin and tonic or don't laugh a sherry and have a read of a paper before lunch and a sleep afterwards.
I don't know what it is these days, partly iPad and partly iPhone I think, but today we all now now have a running commentary of the news and I can't seem to help myself take a look at the Mail online as the day progresses, but the expectation of sitting down to read the paper and reading the days news has gone.
The other reason I think it maybe is that the papers are so damned depressing, or is it me that has the Winter blues?
I don't really know but I so used to look forward to reading the papers on the whole but not find myself having a job to read a paper beside the excellent Daily Post that has so much improved of late.
Politics in the news is such a news turn off that I can't really read it without getting myself into some talking to myself mad man they so annoy me.
I don't know what it is but another relatively cheap pastime that so entertained me has lost it's appeal.
For once, a stupid insult is more important than brutal murder
