Surely ... This is common practice in may organisations . Including the armed services ..
Can you really expect a policeman to face the wrong elements of society 24/7 365 days a year
It is only to be expected they need a break..
So as long as they are availAble in times of need ,and every on et police officer is given a rest period there should not be a really issue.
If that is not the case then I would agree it should be stopped and that office work replaced by
civilian clerks
