Now renamed Blind Veterans UK

All their minibuses still say St Dunstans - they did as recently as a fortnight ago.

I know, but they haven't rebranded their stuff yet. The liveries are all still St Dunstans and the staff still refer to it as St Dunstan's when you speak to them. Probably got more important things to spend the money on than paint jobs and printers.

Well why change it then?
I knew what St Dunstan's was from a very early age.
Blind Veterans may be more modern and a case of calling a spade a spade but does it have to be so brutal?

Is probably why they re-branded anion - for impact. St Dunstan's sounds more like a Catholic boarding school.

What a marvelous man Nick Elphick is and his wonderful work does not come cheap.

Was it originally Leonard Cheshire Homes named after Group Captain Cheshire the prominent bomber pilot?
I remember the fuss over The Spastics Society being renamed Scope.
I knew what the former was because a friend of mine was so afflicted.
After it was re-named it lost it's true identity and I for one didn't identify with it anymore.
Sorry if I've offended anybody.

Please can I make it clear that as of February 2012 the charity St Dunstan's officially became Blind Veterans UK. All transport, buildings, stationery etc linked to Blind Veterans UK have been re-branded.
